Local resident, Peter Brown has been awarded a ‘Highly Commended’ certificate in the Proud of Bucks awards.
The picture shows Peter being presented with his certificate by Buckinghamshire Councillor Jonathan Waters.
Peter was nominated by the Residents Society and his nomination read as follows:
Peter has spent the last 40 years working for the community in different capacities: A founder and long-time editor of Village Voice, our village magazine; A founder of the annual Half marathon & Fun Run; An active member of the Residents Association Committee; A leading trustee of our very much improved and successful Village Hall where he organised several exhibitions for national occasions as well as local school reunions; He has been a leading initiator of a Heritage Centre – yet to be realised, but invaluable support and action. His high-quality local blog over the Covid lockdown has been a much-read and important record of memorable events; He handled public relations for the Chiltern Society over HS2 and interviewed for the Chiltern Society magazine. He is now on the point of retiring from this close community involvement and on behalf of the P&TG Residents Society we would like to mark our appreciation of his long and valued service.
