Finance Director Vacancy
Are you looking for a way to contribute to the village and put your hard earned financial skills to good use in a voluntary role? We may have just the role for you as P&TGRS are looking for someone to join the Board as Finance Director.
What’s involved?
As well as fulfilling the duties of a voluntary Trustee, the Finance Director maintains an overview of P&TGRS’s financial affairs. The Finance Director ensures that effective and appropriate financial measures, controls and procedures are in place and reports to the Board at regular intervals about the financial health of the organisation.
How much will I need to do myself?
Don’t worry, we already have a volunteer book-keeper and treasurer in place, so you would be a member of a team. We have recently appointed Azets as our accountants and reviewers and are now using an online investment platform. The Finance Director role is more strategic, liaising with the team and helping us to ensure that we comply with the relevant statutory bodies; in our case the Charity Commission and Companies House.
How much time will be needed?
The Board meets 6 times per year, for about 90 minutes each, usually on a Monday evening, and each Board meeting has an Officers meeting to agree the agenda about 10 days prior. As well as that, some help with month end and year end might be required. You can also join sub-committees such as Woodlands, Communications, Planning and Village Pre-School or volunteer in the woods if you have more time to give!
