Local Fundraising Success – £100,000 Not Out
Local fundraiser and prostate cancer survivor / campaigner / fundraiser, Ron Hedley, reached a significant target recently – over £100,000 raised.
The target was reached at Winchmore Hill Cricket Club who hosted a fantastic Indian meal evening on Friday 4 September. Sixty guests enjoyed a meal prepared by over 70s cricketer Channi Sethi, accompanied by musical entertainment from Bucks CCC over 70s cricketer, Larry Warr.
The evening was a huge success, raising £1,340 for the campaign – and pushing the overall total raised by the England Cricket Seniors walks over the £100,000 mark.
