Setting out a clear vision for the next decade of woodland management

We’re delighted to share that, on 29 October 2025, the UK Forestry Commission approved the 10 Year Management Plan and associated Felling Licence for Common Wood.

The plan outlines PTGRS’s vision for the future of the woodland and sets out a series of management objectives developed in partnership with the Forestry Commission, our consultant John Morris, Mike Morley (PTGRS Woodlands Manager), and Nicola Hooper (Chair, PTGRS Woodlands Committee).

This approval also opens the door to government funding opportunities that will help us conserve and protect this valuable community asset.
