A beautiful sunny, Sunday saw a group of walkers put their best feet – or paws in the case of Charlie and Saga – forward to enjoy a leisurely stroll around the local area.
The last few days of dry weather made the ground under foot not so muddy or slippery and the spring sunshine made for a pleasant morning.
Woodlands Manager Mike Morley led the group and shared his knowledge and enthusiasm for the area.
Starting at The Red Lion, the route continued to the main entrance to Common Wood and the newly installed notice board, dedicated to the memory of Peter Sachs, the Chairman of Penn & Tylers Green Village Care.
Along the way Mike pointed out various points of interest – including the enclosure, Elephant Tree and owl boxes, which have yet to have our feathered friends take up residence.
Finishing back by the pond, everyone who came along certainly got their steps in for the day!
