AGM Report 2026
Attentive Audience
Thank you to everyone who attended our AGM on Friday 15 May at St Margaret’s Parish Rooms – an opportunity for us to share our achievements.
Our President, The Rt. Hon, The Earl Howe PC, joined us at this annual meeting together with neighbours, friends, volunteers and supporters. We invited Earl Howe to celebrate the remarkable achievements of Miles Green, who recently retired from our committee after almost five decades of unparalleled service to the village, and has accepted the newly created role of Patron.

Madalyn Roker, Chair, presented highlights of the 2025 Finances including our summary Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet. In line with our 5 year strategy, she announced that P&TGRS will be funding 50% of the cost of updating the Penn Conservation Area to help Planning Officers protect our village.
Ruthie Pocock, Vice-Chair, reported on our Annual Report 2025 (and into early 2026) taking us to the current day.
We are not ‘just’ a Residents Society, we are a fully fledged charity with assets of over £850k and we demonstrated that our achievements were delivering in all areas of our objectives.

Holy Trinity Church Bells
At last years 2025 AGM, we announced we would be supporting Holy Trinity Church with a donation of £17,500, amounting to 50% of the overall costs of repairing the bell tower.
This year our guest speaker was Andrew Williams, Steeple Keeper at Holy Trinity who gave an update of what has been happening to the bells over the last few months, in a fascinating talk.
The bells are currently being serviced and retuned and will return in the summer.

We were delighted that Geoff Pegg of Wycombe Neighbourhood Watch joined us too, to reach local residents and encourage more people to join or create their own groups in their roads and consider buying home safety equipment.
P&TGRS are proud supporters of One Can Trust and collect donations at the door.
Thank you to everyone who has attended one of the P&TGRS events, donated money and / or volunteered their time, ideas and energy to keep our shared life vibrant. Your involvement shapes everything we do.
